FAQ

Can i bring my dog to the Park?

No, sorry dogs are not allowed into the Park. For bio-security reasons and the nature of our animal collections dogs are not allowed in the park. However they are allowed in the courtyard providing they are kept on a lead and supervised at all times. Under NO circumstances should dogs be left in cars in hot weather.

What's the opening times?

Park, Coffee Shop and Retail all open at 10am . Retail closes at 5pm, Park and Coffee shop 4:30pm. (Except July and August where Park and Coffee Shop closes at 5pm, Retail 5:30pm.)

Is the parking free?

Yes.

Are you open all year?

We are open every day except Christmas Day and New Years day.

Are there any discounts for group booking?

Yes, we offer discounts for groups of 10 or more. Please call 01337 810391 for further details or book on-line.

What time is the last entry to the park?

45 minutes before closing.

Are guided tours included?

Yes, all tours and demonstrations are included in the Park entrance fee with the exception of tractor trailer rides which are an extra £1.50 per head running in July and August only.

Are there any concessions for Carers?

Visitors with disabilities may admit one accompanying carer free of charge when they pay full adult / child price. Please bring relevant proof of entitlement such as a blue badge, or a Personal Independence Payments letter (issued by the DWP benefit office).

Is the park suitable for wheelchairs/motorised chairs?

Yes, most of our paths are fairly flat . All daily events are accessible.

Can I bring a group without booking?

Yes you can usually accommodate large groups, however we do advise it is best to book in advance. It is not possible to give your group a tour without booking, please call in advance

Where do we meet for daily events?

We hand out an “Whats on in the park today” leaflet when you arrive. Times of all events along with a park map are printed in this.

Are there any catering facilities?

​Yes, we have a coffee shop serving home made soups, scones and sandwiches plus a range of hot food and drinks. During busy periods we also open a refreshment kiosk in the Park.

Are there picnic facilities?

Yes, we have a picnic area at the rear of the coffee shop and in the bird of prey arena, plus there are some tables in the indoor barn.

Are there toilets available?

Yes, we have ladies and gents toilets in the courtyard and in the barn.

How long does it take to walk round the park.

On average it can take 45 mins, however with so many things to see and do it may fill your day!

COVID-19 UPDATE

We have followed the advice from the Scottish Government and have temporarily closed The Scottish Deer Centre until further notice. As well as the Park our Coffee Shop and Courtyard Shopping are also temporarily closed.

We all need to ensure that everyone, including our animals are safe from the Covid-19 virus.
During the closure we will still be caring for our animals, ensuring that they receive the greatest of standards of care.
